A graduate of Campbell University, Charles’s career in the business world has shown him firsthand how low taxes, less regulation, and personal freedom enable small businesses to grow in order to provide good jobs for working people.
Charles is a Bible-believing Christian, and his deep and abiding faith guides him in all of his decisions. He is pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, and America First in his convictions and principles.

ON THE ISSUES
PRO-LIFE
Charles is pro-life and believes in protecting innocent life from conception until natural death. As a state legislator, Charles will do all in his power to limit abortion and support crisis pregnancy centers that do so much to help expectant mothers.
Charles will never stop defending and standing up for the unborn.
SECOND AMENDMENT
Charles is an NRA member and a strong supporter of our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. He will fight to defend law-abiding citizens’ right to own and use firearms for hunting, shooting sports, collecting, self-defense, and any other lawful purpose.
IMMIGRATION
Charles believes that America is a nation of laws and that illegal immigrants have no right to be in the United States.
As our State Representative, Charles will work to prevent foreign nationals from inundating our schools, our hospitals, and our prisons. He will fight to deport illegal alien criminals found in North Carolina.
HEALTHCARE
Charles will fight for a market-based approach to lowering healthcare costs and making quality healthcare more affordable and accessible.
The people of Lee and Moore counties deserve affordable, quality healthcare, and Charles will deliver.
EDUCATION
Charles believes that education is best handled at the local level, and he will fight to get tax dollars out of the bureaucracy and into the classroom.
He believes that teachers are professionals and should be better paid for the important work that they do.
Charles will support all schools, be they public, private, or parochial, as our State Representative. He knows that a well-trained workforce begins with a world-class education system, and he will work to make that a reality.
CRIME AND PUBLIC SAFETY
Charles believes that repeat offenders should not receive bail, and that habitual violent offenders should receive maximum sentences.
Because a disproportionate share of crime is perpetrated by a relatively small portion of the population, Charles knows that keeping the criminals of Lee and Moore counties incarcerated will preserve public safety and save lives.
